Founded in 1990 at the initiative of the World Bank, GVFL has supported ventures working on the cutting edge of technology as well as encouraged entrepreneurs with innovative ideas. Over the past two decades GVFL has raised nine venture capital funds which have supported over 105 companies. Unique feature of GVFL’s approach has been its broad-spectrum support to its funded entities that ranges from strategic direction to governance support.

Experience & Skills Set:

3-5 years of experience in Venture Capital/Private Equity/Investment Banking preferably having experience in early stage investments.

Work Profile:

  • Portfolio management: Managing the existing portfolio of investments and lead them eventually. This involves working closely with portfolio companies to provide strategic guidance and support, and tracking their progress against key metrics, eventually manage the respective portfolio leads.
  • Reporting: The role holder is also responsible for preparing regular reports and updates for senior management and investors on the performance of the portfolio companies and the overall investment strategy of the firm.
  • Networking: The role Holder is expected to build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, other investors, and key industry players to stay informed on the latest trends and opportunities.
  • Industry Research and Thought Leadership: Stay updated on the latest trends, innovations, and share insights with the investment team and the wider community through thought leadership pieces, presentations, and participation in industry events.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the investment team to collectively drive the firm’s investment strategy, share insights, and contribute to the growth of the overall VC ecosystem.

Skills Required:

  • Passion toward venture capital investments and start-up scene
  • Competence in research, analysis, financial modelling, financial and accounting knowledge. Sector expertise in focus sectors would be welcomed

Combination of financial, analytical, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualification:

MBA with specialization in Finance from reputed Management institute, preferably with BE/B.Tech background /CA/ICWA/ CFA.

Job Responsibilities: 

  1. Assist in developing and executing fundraising strategies to meet organizational goals.
    2. Assisting in reaching out to various investors including angel investors, HNIs/Family Offices and institutional investors.
  2. Create and refine pitch decks and presentations to effectively communicate the organization’s value proposition, financial performance, and growth potential.
  3. Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to support fundraising efforts.5. Serve as the primary point of contact for investor inquiries and requests.
  4. Coordinate and participate in investor meetings, conference calls, and presentations.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
    2. Minimum 1 yrs of experience in a similar role with reputed Angel Network, Accelerator, VC fund and wealth management firms
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive pitch decks and deliver impactful presentations.
  3. Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  4. Excellent understanding of the Industry, Outreach programs and BD Initiatives especially use of social media.


Remuneration: Fix salary plus performance incentive as per experience and industry standards
